Comedian Amy Schumer expresses the need for celebrities to cease their dishonesty regarding the utilization of the diabetes medication Ozempic as a means for weight reduction.

Amy Schumer, a renowned American actress and comedian, has criticized celebrities who conceal their usage of the diabetes medication Ozempic as a strategy to lose weight.
During her appearance on Andy Cohen’s late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live! With Andy Cohen, on Thursday, Amy Schumer, known for her roles in I Feel Pretty and Trainwreck, asserted that certain celebrities are dishonestly attributing their weight loss to consuming “smaller portions” while actually using the drug.
Schumer, 42, specifically aimed her remarks at individuals, telling them, “Shut the f**k up! You’re on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop!” “Be real with the people.”
In reference to her own liposuction surgery in 2022, Schumer made it clear by stating,”When I got lipo, I said I got lipo.”
Schumer revealed that she had personally experimented with the drug last year to lose weight, but she discontinued its usage due to the adverse side effects it caused.
She stated, “I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son. I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me, and I couldn’t. I was like, this isn’t livable for me.”
Ozempic is a medication administered through injections designed for adults diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. When combined with proper diet and exercise, it has the potential to enhance blood sugar levels. Notably, one of its possible effects is weight loss.
In recent times, there has been controversy surrounding the use of Ozempic by individuals without diabetes who seek to achieve weight loss. This has resulted in a scarcity of the medication for diabetes patients.
Schumer’s latest stand-up comedy special, titled Emergency Contact, is scheduled to be available on Netflix starting 13th of June. In this performance, the comedian will cover various subjects, such as “postpartum sex, her baby-naming disaster and chewable viagra.”
